Hospital Infected

There are so many issues at this hospital!
  1. If patches were applied "a few weeks" after it was released, then how does a three month old security whole get exploited by the worm?
  2. Surgery computers set to automatically reboot - why would any computer touching a patient be allowed to do that?
  3. Networked computers in surgery?
  4. Seriously, who decides to stop patching?

Tim - Know this is an older post, but I just came across it. I work at a help desk and we do have networked computers in surgery units...along with many other units. Check out this link:

And you'd be amazed at how many IT depts don't stay up on patching. A while back there was a site that hadn't updated their antivirus in 3 years....3 years!! And they wondered why they got hit with Conficker.... This worm scared everyone into patching their system now...bout time...who knows what else is lurking on some of these networks.
